Golden Wedding Anniversary Year 2010
On 28th November 2010, The Church of 
Visitation conducted the Renewal of Marriage Vows for all nine couples present for the 9.00 am English Mass which took place after the homily. There were 55 couples married in the year 1960 in this parish. They were solemnized by few priests – Fr R. Dubious, FR C. Danker, Fr Leo Chang and Fr Pallier. Only 9 couples were indentified and called for the renewal of their marriage vows. The couples were Stanley & Veeda Pereira, Peter & Angeline Van Huizen, Francis & Rosammal, Paul & Agatha Tan, Daniel & Audrey Leow, Denis & Alice Lee, Tan Sri Chan Choong Tak & Puan Sri Cecilia Chan, Paul & Pauline Wong and Francis & Rose Siow. The Sacrament of Matrimony signifies the union of Christ and the Church. It gives spouses the grace to love each other with the love with which Christ has loved his Church; the grace of the sacrament thus perfects the human love of the spouses, strengthens their indissoluble unity and sanctifies them on the way to eternal life. The reason of this celebration is to highlight the Visitation parishioners how these couples were faithful to their marriages and witnessing Christ and Church. By Ms Natasha Sheyanne Biggs
